Blogging Break

Hello, everyone!  I wanted to let you all know that for the next two? three? four? weeks I will be taking a blogging break. I know, you'll hardly be able to tell.  We have out-of-town company coming at the end of the week, a major family shindig here on Saturday, and last week I was in Texas for the Consortium of Classical Lutheran Educators.  So this week will be spent in recovery and preparation.  I hope to be able to pop in now and then, but if not, see you in a few weeks!

{Pretty, Happy, Funny, Real}~ July 11, 2015

So sorry I missed last week! You'll see why I did in a minute.  Here are the happenings from this week~

{Pretty}

The zinnias and gladioli in the garden are stunning.  This is the first year I've grown glads and I am so pleased!  Except for staking, they are carefree and give lots of bang for the buck.  I'm hooked!  The zinnias are profuse and so satisfying with their bold colors and scads of bright, effortless blooms.

{Happy}

Someone got his cast off~

Hurray!

We spent last Sunday at my mother's lake house.  She is a spry eighty-five years old and still going strong.  She manages her full-time residence and her lake house, which includes organizing lots of hospitality.  She's a favorite with everyone!

A view of the lake from the boat.
